Muro de Espuma is an artistic company founded in 1983 by Felipe Garcia Silva and currently directed by Andrea Ruiz. Over the years, it has developed an interdisciplinary practice that brings together circus, theater, puppetry, dramaturgy, pedagogy, and stage creation, shaping a distinctive language within the live arts. Its work has given form to performative worlds that are joyful, grotesque, festive, and carnivalesque, where play, risk, imagination, and the poetics of the body hold a central place.
More than a company with a long trajectory, Muro de Espuma has been an active force in the consolidation of circus arts in Colombia. Its creative, production, and educational processes have contributed to the strengthening of dramaturgy, staging, and research around clowning, physical theater, and animal-free circus practices. In Usaquen, its presence has been constant and defining: it has built community, fostered cultural processes across the district, and turned its work into a vital reference point within the performing arts memory that Memoria Viva seeks to preserve.
