Andres Rodriguez is a graduate of the Graphic Design School at the National University of Colombia and holds a master’s degree in Historical Narrative Production from Universidad Externado de Colombia. His work explores the boundaries of illustration and animation, with a style grounded in drawing, chiaroscuro, and volume through the scratch technique.
Over more than 23 years, he has illustrated and produced works such as Maqroll el Gaviero (2011), Moby Dick (2020), Tales of the Brothers Grimm (2021), and Stories from the Arabian Nights (2022). He has also served as conceptual creator of projects such as La Morada (2018) and Plomo (2025).
His work has received international recognition, representing Colombia at the Bratislava Illustration Biennial and appearing in international exhibitions and catalogs. In Memoria Viva Usaquen, his work becomes a lasting record of the district’s visual identity and a contribution to the cultural heritage of the neighborhood.
